ENERGY

A growing population with improving living standards leads to a constant rise in the world's energy requirements. Meeting these increasing energy needs while reducing the causes of climate change is a major challenge for our society. Chemistry plays an indispensable role in providing new and sustainable solutions that can help achieve this.

The scope of the Energy theme at the World Chemical Summit is the ways in which the chemical industry can provide solutions and should develop to help to:

Improve the efficiency of energy generation,

storage and distribution technologies.

Foster sustainable energy sources

Reduce carbon emissions in all areas.
